The purpose of the S.A.Y. (Save America's Youth) Yes! Center for Youth Development is to love, support, and minister to our youth, while educating and developing children in every area of their lives. As we inspire them to know Jesus Christ, we will create a solid foundation whereby the family becomes a Christ-centered unit.
Our Purpose
At the S. A. Y. Yes! Center, we offer a holistic and biblically-based approach to child development by addressing the spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs of our students. Our care and concern extends to the families of our students as well. By cultivating relationships with parents and siblings, we work to promote a positive and nurturing home environment. What's more, the children at the S. A. Y. Yes! Center are integrated into the vibrant and racially-diverse family of New Life Covenant Church, where they attend worship and Sunday School on a regular basis. By supporting our students in each arena - school, home and church - we seek to mold them into high achievers, future leaders, passionate believers and life-long learners.
Our Approach
The S. A. Y. Yes! Center opened its doors in 2000 to at-risk youth in the English Avenue and Vine City neighborhoods in Atlanta. For the first year of its existence, the S. A. Y. Yes! Center operated under the auspices of Here's Life Inner City, the urban ministry division of Campus Crusade for Christ. Since then, S.A.Y. Yes! has been fully adopted as an outreach ministry of New Life Covenant Church. It operates under New Life S.A.Y. Yes! Center, Inc. (501c3), New Life's Community Development Corporation (CDC).
The S.A.Y. Yes! Center is led by the Rev. Timothy Rodgers, Executive Director. Reverend Rodgers is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and has served as senior pastor of New Life for seven years. The Center is also staffed by parents, church members, and devoted volunteers from the Church of the Apostles, Mission Year and Georgia Tech.
